Blue Drift is a visual identity created for a fictional jazz music label during the Transversal Workshop at ECAL. The concept originates from the blue note in jazz—slightly lowered notes that carry emotional depth and expressive nuance.

The visual direction focuses on minimal and geometric compositions. Circles and simple shapes are used to evoke rhythm and musical structure, while different shades of blue reinforce the atmospheric and emotional qualities associated with jazz.

For the pattern-based compositions, the project draws inspiration from the work of Victor Vasarely, particularly his use of repetition and optical vibration to create the sensation of movement within static forms. The identity was developed using Cavalry, a procedural motion design tool that enables rule-based animation through modular systems.
