Full artist statement

I am a media artist and creative technologist exploring how technology shapes the ways we perceive ourselves, relate to others, and experience the world around us.

My artistic practice is informed by my journey across disciplines and cultures. After working as a software engineer in South Korea for over a decade, I moved to Switzerland, where experiences of cultural displacement, isolation, and encounters with people from diverse backgrounds led me to question how we form relationships and find a sense of belonging.

These experiences shifted my perspective on technology — from a tool designed primarily for efficiency and functionality to a medium through which we can question, reinterpret, and reimagine our relationships with the world.

Through creative coding, generative visuals, sound, and physical computing, I create interactive experiences that reveal often overlooked connections between humans, machines, and environments. I am particularly interested in how movement, subtle interactions, and responsive systems can make invisible relationships perceptible and invite new ways of experiencing familiar situations.

Rather than offering fixed messages or predetermined interpretations, I aim to create spaces for reflection, curiosity, and discovery. My work invites people to reconsider their everyday experiences, their relationships with others, and their place within the systems they inhabit.

I believe art can open up new perspectives and gently transform how we understand ourselves and the world. Through my practice, I hope to create experiences that continue to resonate beyond the moment of encounter.
