Léman Pulse
Reimagining Lake Léman through the lens of human interaction
Léman Pulse is a poetic project that reimagines the landscape around Lake Léman through human interaction and communication. As one of Geneva’s central gathering places, the lake draws tourists and locals who engage with the space in different ways — through photos, social media or physical presence — while the shores remain a powerful site of collective imagination and emotional connection.
The work focuses on three iconic lakeside locations. On-site research gathered photographs, videos, interviews, electromagnetic signals from devices, colour and behaviour patterns, and the strength of local networks.
These layers construct augmented portraits of each site, blending visible and invisible traces — from silent contemplation to constant digital exchange and the personal stories that shape how people experience these spaces.
